Vitamin Sea Day # 4

As I write this, we're waiting for a Neil Diamond tribute to start at the 7:30 show. Sweet Caroline is sure to bring the house down, bmp, bmp, bmp. ;-).

I decided today that some routines I had started I didn't "love", so I switched it up a bit. Rather than exercising first thing in the morning, I saved it for the lull in the afternoon. Felt much more productive to exercise then vs my best "brain" time in the early morning. Today was a work day so I was able to get an earlier start having deferred exercise. I also changed where I'm working. I found a new spot that I enjoy 10x more than my previous "office". Better view, better chair & table vs a chaise, and quieter but also by an outlet. Don't laugh, they are hard to find on the ship, including our room which has just 2 outlets. More on that in another post.

Then I tried ordering breakfast for the first time via the app. Amazing!!! I was already on a conf call when I thought, "some fruit would be nice". Got on the app, submitted my order and it arrived before the call was over. Mind you, you don't have to tell them where you are. The medallions we wear have a geo-locator on it so they find you. How great is that!!!! If you choose to activate another facet of that feature, you can find all your shipmates too. When I first heard about that feature, I thought, "I'll need to turn that off when I'm in the casino", but that's kinda obvious and my wife doesn't really mind me gambling.

I worked 5 great hours, very productive. The new office will work out much better.

After a light lunch, I spent 30 min in the casino to allow lunch to digest. It was my best day yet! I've almost won half a cruise.....day. Then up to the fitness center. My hour on the elliptical went fast as I chatted with a 71 year old man for most of the time. I increased the resistance to 20 and still did 5.4 miles. It was tough though. But a much more productive use of time in the afternoon than the early morning. So yeah, another great adjustment.

I spent almost an hour in the sauna as there was good banter in there. On my way back to the room to get ready for dinner, I met Andrea and Judy, from eastern SC. Very nice older ladies with a wicked sense of humor. No holds barred. I'm confident we'll get to know them better throughout the cruise

Dinner was complicated. The staff currently on board is largely new and there are not enough. More will get on on LA, but for now, dinner takes 2+ hrs. Not a complaint, just our experience and observation. So there was a 45 min wait for a table. So we decided to have dinner on the Lido Deck, which was ok. The food was the same caliber and I enjoy the variety, but there's a special quality to the diningroom. Perhaps it's like my mother used to say, "serving the same food on the good China makes it taste better"

Then we went to the Neil Diamond tribute, which, as I finish this post the following morning, I can tell you was very well done. Those types of acts can turn karaoke very fast but this one didn't.

Afterwards, my wife went to watch a movie under the stars, I went to the casino just to watch black jack. We met back in the room about 11, but with the time change felt like midnight. We are not ourselves, but in good way.

Tomorrow is puntarenas Costa Rica. We've been to C.R., but not this port. Looking forward to the adventure.
