Thank you

Firstly, thank you for reading my blog. I only gave the link to about 60 of our closest friends and thought it would stay private. I didn't do any of the WIX recommended steps to get my Blog "noticed". But someone on Cruise Critic found it and posted it so now I have over 1300 views. Not exactly viral but having the larger audience is exciting. So a sincere heart-felt thank-you!!!

Also, before I continue, we passed our covid tests and apparently, so did most people so the mask mandate is lifted effective tomorrow morning. That's great news.

Also, before I continue, the weather has been unseasonably cold since the day before LA till the day after LA. Starting tomorrow, we'll be close enough to Hawaii and the warm tropical breezes that the lido deck should be full again throughout the day. There's something magical about a full lido deck.....maybe because it's glamorized on every TV show and movie, with all the beautiful people sunning themselves and drinking mai-tai's in rows of comfortable chaises. But the average age of the passengers on this cruise is about 72. So its more like rows of chaises, walkers and scooters. And as Forrest Gump would say "that's all I have to say about that".

In a previously post, I introduced the concept of making new habits and resurrecting old good habits. For me that's exercise. I'm pleased to report I did 2 solid hours on the elliptical at a resistance of 20 for total mileage of 10.7. I'm finally believing I can run 2 half marathons in my 50s, a goal I set after doing 2 in my 30s and 2 in my 40s. Post cruise, I'll have 3 weeks back in America before I turn 60, so I'm shifting into conditioning mode.

also in the casino, i won back the little bit I was still behind from the last 3 days, so that feels good too.

My wife did a watercolor class today and painted a sea turtle. Pic below. She's an artist but no one knew it, so they were really impressed. Most of the other folks turtle paintings looked like amoebas. I wonder if they were told to paint amoebas if they would have ended up with turtles??

Dinner was more seafood for us. The seafood on this ship has been by far the best seafood we've ever had on any ship. And even better than most restaurants we've been to as well.

We turn the clocks back yet again tonight, 5 times in 6 days.
