Needle's in the Groove

Today is day 10 of the cruise and our 6th full sea day. To be candid, my one concerns with 60 sea days was that I wouldn't find my groove. Ya know, that routine that you look forward to each day. In my typical life, it's swimming in the lake on a hot day, smoking 20-30lbs of various meats, and being creative in my woodshop. It's those places and circumstances where never tire of the familiar or routine. Today was that day for me. The routine was familiar in a comfortable peaceful way. I just did my thing. Nice breakfast, little work till lunch, lunch, a rewarding time in the casino, then my best workout yet, 1.5 hrs, 8 miles at a resistance of 20, 1 hr in the sauna. 1 hr in the hot tub, dinner and now the show, a tribute to Nat King Cole.

Dinner was another great experience. Pics below. A seafood appetizer, salad, beef wellington and a Cointreau souffle. My wife had the rack of lamb. Absolutely delicious. Pics below including another beautiful sunset.

After the show, we'll go listen to Dan the man in the Bayou and have a nightcap.

So all in all, not as exciting as some days but I thoroughly enjoyed the newly familiar routine. I'm very aware that about 40 of our 60 sea days are in the first half of the cruise, so enjoy them while you got'em 😉
