It took 28 days....

It took 28 days for me to have writers block. Each day on this floating city, something happens that provides me the spark, the tidbits and the inspiration to highlight something good or bad about our adventure. But today there were none. I was hoping tonight's comedian would make some astute observation about the ship or its passengers, but twas not to be. Lots of old people jokes....I've made a few myself in this blog....but nothing profound. But I have a future blog entry brewing about jokes targeting old people and the impact it might have. As you get older, the old jokes become both more and less funny at the same time. AARP addresses ageism and its impact in its September 2022 issue. Suffice it to say for now, it is very much alive...especially on this ship. Off my soapbox....

Perhaps the theme for the day is that there will be days with no theme. And that's OK. It was still another day in paradise. We have another sea day before reaching pago pago, (pronounced pango pango).

I worked till noon ship time and then worked out. I was supposed to switch to the treadmill today, as that is the goal for February, but I forgot. Lost track of day/date/time yet again. Did a quick few hands at the blackjack tables to see if my luck had changed yet. It has not.

Played cards with my lovely wife mid afternoon, something we hadn't done since leaving home. That was a nice change of pace.

Tonight was another formal night. Some people look so forward to them. I'm happy eating lobster in jeans and flip flops. But to appease the dress code gods, I donned a blazer and my wife wore a new sundress. Dinner was as always a feast. Chateaubriand and lobster were on the menu as separate options but they're great about mixing and matching for you. So I had both.

Dessert was amazing too. I had chocolate creme crepes with vanilla ice cream and khalua.

I have pretty busy days at work tomorrow and Sunday (Saturday is pago pago), which I look forward to.

I hope you enjoyed reading about an uneventful day 28/111. Hasta manana.
