Today I was a sea bum.....well sort of. While I managed 4 hrs of work and my 1 hr of exercise, the rest of the day was spent doing things normal cruisers do. We chatted about yesterdays Melbourne port and tomorrow's Sydney port. I attended a cooking demonstration and a kitchen tour. Here are some pics:
I also spent some time in the casino but just watching. As I was working this morning and then later when I was relaxing, I saw schools of dolphins accompanying the ship. That was so interesting but i didnt get pictures.... sorry.
Today was a special sea day for two other reasons. The first is that we're ending a segment which means about 100 people are disembarking... not everyone is doing the world cruise. We had to say goodbye to some really nice people we met. The ship was also doing some special events like a dessert extravaganza so departing guests leave with a good taste in their mouth. (See what i did there?).

The other special news is we skipped from Gold loyalty right past Ruby to Platinum effective tomorrow. Now we get some priority privileges, spa discounts and most importantly, hor'dourves before dinner in the explorers lounge...because we need more food. It's a nice perk and we'll get to speak with seasoned cruisers for more perspective on lots of travel related topics.
Dinner and show were standard fare and we decided to hit the hay early as Sydney will be a big day starting at 5:30 am as we approach to port. I hear it is one of the most exquisite ports in the world, not surprising as the Sydney opera house will be immediately to our right when we arrive in port. So stay tuned for a fun filled, information packed blog post tomorrow.
